New purchase: Army/Military boots

I finally bought myself some of these gorgy boots. I have wanted some Army/Military/Worker/"Cool, slouchy, perfect for college boots" for a while now. I have been dribbling over photographs of these on the River Island website and was actually considering spending my up and coming EMA on them.

By surprise my amazing mum found me some whilst we were visiting some relations in Cardiff and were browsing through their massive Primark. The boots look very similar to the bad boys in River Island but instead are more than half the price. I got mine for 30 pounds! Woohoo :)

I love them sooo much and have only wore them once so far. They are made of real leather too!
Good work Primark... Or Primarche as my Aunties says.

So they are my new purchase and I think they go well with so many different outfits. You can pair them with khaki jeans and go sort of safari looking or you can pear them with a floral kneelength dress for more summery occasions... Not that the sun is showing its face at all this summer!
What do you think of Army/Military boots? Hot or Not?

First OOTD and HOTD

My hair was being majorly annoying today so I decided to do a cute little updo which literally took me about five minutes to do... plus the 10 minutes it took me running around the house with my hand in the air holding my bun in trying to look for a hairband :)

I basically just left my hair down and did two plaits at the side of my head and clipped them in round the back somewhere with about two bobby pins. I then just pulled all my hair into a pony tail, twisted it around into a bun and tied it in place. The plaits just went in with the bun and I dont have a clue where the bobby pins ended up but I thought it looked quite nice!

As for the outfit:
Light denim shirt: Topshop
Flowery, frilly top: Newlook
Beige trousers: H&M
Hunter wellies: There my mums (I wore them outside because it was muddy and squelchy eww)

And finally another posey one of me thrown in for good measure. Not really, I thought this photograph showed off the frilly top a bit more :)
Well I hope you guys liked my first OOTD & HOTD. I think im gonna do more of these and maybe throw in some FOTD's too. What do you think?

Trip to Birmingham & Haul

A couple of days ago me, my mum, my dad, my brother and my sister all trotted off to the bull ring in birmingham for a day out! I saw it as great way to get away from the stress of my art project which I have to do for college and also take the chance to buy a couple of nice makeup goodies.

This is exactly what I did. I did actually set out to buy the MAC face & body foundation and after asking lots of random people for directions and trotting around birmingham with the fam I finally found the MAC shop!

I only purchased one thing from MAC because to be honest thats all I could afford haha :)

[The face and body with flash]
I have tried this twice and so far I absoloutley love it! its so creamy and light and gives a really nice dewy finish. All the hype about this is deffinetely true. I can see this being a must have in my makeup collection.

[The mac face and body without flash]
In this snap the colour of the foundation looks more true to life. The lady in the MAC shop matched me up with the shade N2. I think it suits my skintone really well. Do you like the way I have placed the items against a lovely pink background? I was pretty proud of these photographs y'know!

I also picked up this Gosh velvet touch foundation primer. I have heard a few things about this and also wanted to try it. I didnt realise that it mattified the skin because being my ususal clumsy self, I just picked it up and went straight to the counter to pay for it. I didnt want a mattifying primer. Just one that would leave my skin as normal but keep my foundation on all day. Whoops!

I have tried the MAC F&B twice now and so far I am badabababa lovin' it! Mcdonalds haha :)
The first time I tried it, I used the Gosh primer and the result wasnt as dewy as I thought it would be. The second time I tried it without the primer and my skin looked so dewy and glowing. It was beautiful! Not trying to blow my own trumpet but my skin looked great!
Whats your favourite foundation?
